Come and be a part of this success.As the Governance and Data Specialist you will be the key contact in relation to water data acquisition and management within Coal while liaising with key stakeholders of the business. You will provide input and guidance on License and Approvals, coordinate water studies and be the key relationship manager with external regulators.

Accountabilities will include, but not be limited to;

  • Provide input and support to gain water approvals;

  • Complete internal water stewardship reporting;

  • External water reporting (water accounting framework & ICMM);

  • Coordinate operational water risk assessments;

  • Monitor and conduct audit support/responses;

  • Provide input and support to the Water Planning team;

  • Develop catchment management plans;

  • Data strategy and management (procedure and process development); and

  • Coordinate data analysis and water compliance reporting.You will come with a proven experience in Water Governance. You will be a motivate and a self-starter and have the ability to communicate at all levels to internal and external stakeholders. You will have the proven experience to interpret technical reports and have a strong understanding of Queensland and Federal water legislation and regulation.

Your experience will also include:

  • Bachelor degree in Geology, Geoscience, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or similar;

  • Extensive experience in water management within the mining sector; and
