In this residential or FIFO role, role you will be based in the coastal town of Port Hedland, Western Australia on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.  Port Hedland is home to our port and rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia.   Reporting to the Supervisor Warehouse, the focus of your role will be safe and efficient execution of warehouse tasks and projects, to provide a safe and efficient warehousing service to site, whilst participating in an environment that promotes teamwork, customer service and action orientation.   You will be responsible for complying with BHP policies, procedures and standards, warehouse and binning maintenance, ensuring all BHE (forklifts and delivery vehicles) are operated professionally and safely, whilst having a strong customer focus when liaising with internal and external business professionals, colleagues and vendors. You will have a focus to achieve and / or exceed competencies as required under the department competency matrix and participate in all training provided to achieve the competencies required for the role. You will be a valued member and a strong team player, with the ability to problem solve, prioritise and plan your work effectively in order to meet business outcomes. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills with sound understanding of logistics or operations, being process and system focused. Ideally, you will have a forklift or HR license, with exposure to SAP. It is essential that you will have a C class driver’s license. At BHP, we recognise that we are strengthened by diversity.
