Join our new South Flank ProjectThe South Flank Project is an expansion of BHP's existing Mining Area C hub, located approximately 130 km by road north-west of the town of Newman. This project has potential to become one of the largest standalone iron ore processing centres in the world, within reach of several billion tonnes of high-grade ore.

This is a rare opportunity for a dynamic individual to be part of something big – to work in an innovative team, with evolving technology, and playing a pivotal role in creating a world class mine.This is an exciting opportunity to join South Flank and provide supervision of the mining training team. A key focus of this role is to lead site wide training and ensure proper scheduling, record keeping, conformity to statutory requirements and budget.
This role will also have heavy emphasis on ensuring compliance of all Mining Personnel with WAIO standard and mandatory training. Monitor and report on mining training costs and forecasts and provide training materials and ensure regular updates in line with Safe Work Procedures, industry best practice and statutory requirements.
We seek a results-driven and exceptionally organised individual, with mine training experience. An ability to operate both autonomously and collaboratively within a close-knit team is essential. Previous supervisory experience and superior interpersonal skills are required as well as an understanding of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994. You will demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
