BHP is establishing Operations Services – a new team of employees who will provide production and maintenance services that have previously been performed by external contractors. Are you ready to make your place?Your Key Accountabilities include:

  • Deliver competency based training materials to individuals or groups;
  • Liaise with Production Superintendents, Coordinators, and Supervisors on operator training requirements;
  • Review performance of equipment/personnel and implement training in line with business drivers;
  • Contribute to the design of training plans for production personnel;
  • Ensure training materials are maintained in line with business and industry standards;
  • Ensure adequately skilled operators are available across all shifts to ensure safe and effective production;
  • Participate in incident investigations as required;
  • Ensure mining equipment is operated by competent personnel;
  • Coach and mentor frontline staff on how to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions relating to standardised work; and
  • Work with the Leadership Team to build capability across the department.

As a Certified Trainer Assessor, you will demonstrate:

  • Solid experience as a Trainer Assessor within the resources sector;
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work autonomously;
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills with a proven ability to build relationships and facilitate presentations;
  • Understanding of tactical decision making and prioritising for value; and
  • Have a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
