Come and be a part of this success.We are seeking an innovative Specialist Environment to join our Health, Safety and Environment Department. In this role, you will be accountable for assisting the Caval Ridge Mine Site team and other BMA Mine Site Operations in the Central Qld region. Reporting to the Superintendent HSE, this role will see you utilising your excellent relationship building and people skills to deliver a wide range of environmental services and initiatives including:
Implement and ensure compliance to monitoring programs, management plans and work management strategies;
Interface with local Regulators regarding site compliance issues;
Interact and consult with operational teams to provide technical environmental advice and support;
Assist with management of mine site rehabilitation, environment disturbance permitting, management of environmental data and associated databases;
Monitor and assist with management of mine site water, dust, groundwater and noise;
Perform data validation of all environmental monitoring data for inclusion in internal and external reports.
Being part of a small team with large support networks you will have the opportunity to explore all HSE disciplines including security and emergency response management, business improvement and health and hygiene monitoring. You will utilise your influencing skills to collaborate with other departments and various levels of the business via an engaging and supportive management team.It will be ideal if you hold a Tertiary Qualification in Environmental Management, Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering, coupled with experience in an on-site Specialist level role within the resources industry. You will possess experience in addressing legislative environmental requirements and have a willingness to learn and deploy new skills. Sound GIS capabilities will also be highly regarded.
