Shared Infrastructure Senior Software Engineer
Would you like to participate fully in capturing requirements, designing, implementing and testing the Shared Infrastructure system? We currently have a vacancy for a Shared Infrastructure Senior Software Engineer at our site in New Malden.
As a Shared Infrastructure Senior Software Engineer, You will assist, design, develop and support Naval Command Systems. You will develop the systems that are deployed in the Royal Navy’s fleet of Ships and Submarines used to support the crew policing the world’s oceans, whether delivering humanitarian aid or in combat.
This role will also provide you with the opportunity to define a career path with a wealth of options, from offshore patrol vessels through to Type 26. The projects you’ll be involved in will set new standards, and form the backbone of the Royal Navy for decades to come.
Your main responsibilities as a Shared Infrastructure Senior Software Engineer will involve:
Producing software applications with associated design material
Carrying out investigations into operational problems or developments and develop and prepare solutions, individually or as a member of a project team
Your skills and qualifications:
A strong software engineering background with experience in the following:
• C# experience
• WPF(Windows Presentation Foundation) experience
• Python experience
• Agile development process
• Serial Communication CLI
Degree qualified or equivalent, ideally in a technology, engineering or science related discipline
