This challenging role will involve working on a variety of tasks with a highly capable team of Mining Engineers, Geologists and Geotechnical Engineers. The Senior Mining Engineer's key role is to analyse mine performance and drive improvements in safety and productivity of the surface and underground mining operations.

The role also provides technical capability and resources to manage mining contracts and engineering support to the mining operations team to achieve HSEC and production objectives.

Nickel West Leinster Nickel West Leinster is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate. The Senior Mining Engineer will liaise closely with the mining contractor to optimise the Leinster Nickel Operation. The successful candidate will be involved in mine extensions projects and provide statutory coverage for the Rocky's Reward and Leinster Underground mining operations from time to time.   • Extensive knowledge underground mining methods

and practices

  • Western Australian First Class Mine Managers

Certificate of Competency

  • Strong focus on operational safety and risk


  • Previous supervisory experience and contract

management experience highly regarded

  • Mine planning experience and report and

presentation skills essential

  • Experience using Deswik mine planning software
  • A current Australian manual driver's license

is required
