Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Analysis & Improvement (A&I) Surface you will be involved in supporting the sites maintenance function to achieve maintenance excellence. Open to all experience levels and backgrounds, the role will provide new challenges and learnings for anyone seeking work in the reliability engineering field combined with leadership experience. Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 5/2 residential or 5/2/4/3 FIFO from Adelaide roster. In this role you will:
  • Engaging in daily safety leadership activities and discussions to assist in achieving personal and team Zero Harm
  • Mentoring and coaching of engineering team members
  • Managing team and personal priorities on a daily basis
  • Building key relationships with other departments
  • Providing engineering advice to support the maintenance function to safely execute repair works and routine inspections
  • Participating in root cause analysis investigations on breakdowns
  • Implementing maintenance strategies to improve plant reliability
  • Analysing key reliability data to identify improvement areas
  • Experiencing a vast array of equipment and machinery used in the conversion of stockpile ore all the way through to finished refined products

  • Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way
  • Degree qualified in Engineering (Mechanical or a closely related discipline)
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring teams
  • Proactive and intuitive problem solving skills
  • Highly engaged, collaborative and committed to building mutually beneficial relationships across functional teams
  • Root cause analysis and defect elimination experience will be considered advantageous
  • Reliability management experience with exposure to RCM and FMECA will be considered advantageous
