As a Senior Lecturer in Epidemiology you will lead the epidemiology teaching for the newly re-established Epidemiology and Biostatistics directorate, in the School of Public Health, in the Faculty of Health Sciences.

You will teach and oversee undergraduate and postgraduate epidemiology units using creative and flexible teaching methods, face-to-face and online.

You will undertake high quality research, manage students and actively seek research funding, independently and collaboratively.

- PhD in Epidemiology/Biostatistics/Public Health or a related discipline

- Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and PG epidemiology programs, including creative curriculum design and research supervision

- Nationally recognised research reputation underpinned by publications in quality journals and success in obtaining external research grants.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues and to be an effective collaborator in public health research

The Epidemiology and Biostatistics Directorate has considerable strengths in epidemiology and biostatistics teaching and research, particularly cancer, occupational epidemiology and chronic diseases prevention.

The School of Public Health at Curtin University is recognised internationally as a leader in Public Health education and research.

The School offers programs in Health Promotion, Nutrition, Food Science and Technology, Environmental Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Occupational Health and Safety, and Health Sciences. Research is conducted across a range of topics, you will be primarily involved with epidemiological research.
