Job Overview / Purpose
This role has been created to further the Bank’s skills in the analytics, modelling and stress testing space for the Risk function. It has arisen due to the increased requirements from the local regulators to undertake regular and more detailed stress testing on the portfolio and on segments of the portfolio and business needs to provide better analytics to assist in strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Superior excel skills and ability to build excel models and macros;
• Good understanding of modelling generally;
• Good understanding of data and ability to extract and analyse data for business purposes;
• Ability to understand and explain different forms of stress testing models used internally and
• Model development capability – in particular, good excel skills to redesign and update existing
• Ability to assess benefits and problems of various models;
• Management of scenario development for stress testing;
• Running of models for various stress testing requirements – sector reviews, portfolio reviews, ICAAP,
regulator requests;
• Collation of results into meaningful presentations;
• Presentation of results to key stakeholders including senior management
Job Skills and Knowledge:
• Excellent communication skills, including ability to deal with senior management
• Good presentation skills
• Ability to translate quantitative analysis results into comprehensive information for higher management and business users

• Ability to work independently but to set timeframes and tasks
• Graduate qualifications in Economics with high level statistical knowledge/Econometrics/Mathematics or
related with a good knowledge of modern statistical/ econometric techniques.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a credit risk environment
• Understanding of regulatory requirements
