ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our Emergency Department at Werribee Mercy Hospital is a dynamic, growing department, in a rapidly expanding area.

This is an exciting time to join us with current and future developments leading towards becoming a Tertiary Facility. We are looking for qualified staff to join us now.

Successful applicants must be prepared to:

  • Work a rotating roster

  • Rotate into our Emergency Department Short Stay Unit

ABOUT YOU:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA as a Division 1 Nurse

  • Post Graduate Qualification in emergency nursing or critical care is a requirement

  • Minimum 2 years experience in emergency nursing or critical care area

  • Resus and triage skills

  • Skills in cardiac pulmonary resuscitation (BLS)

  • Demonstrated ability in accurate drug calculations

  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills

  • Willing to participate in quality improvement projects and portfolios

  • Comitted to providing high quality emergency care and professional development

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a General Public Hospital located in the rapidly growing western suburbs of Melbourne. Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care. The hospital is currently undergoing significant expansion with a number of exciting capital projects currently underway, including an $85 million State Government funded redevelopment that has delivered a new critical care unit taking the total number of beds to 298.
