The opportunity

We’re on the hunt for an experienced, motivated, and passionate HR generalist. 
Reporting to the Head of Business Partnering and supported by a high performing team, you will partner with leaders across Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland to integrate management practices, culture and employee experience within an existing business division.

The role

This is a hands-on role where you will proactively service the needs of the business and its stakeholders, to enable agile delivery of business objectives.  You will advise and support with respect to people matters, especially: employee engagement, organisational structure and design, ER, performance management, talent acquisition and management, remuneration, team development and management coaching.

You will be instrumental in initiating and driving programs of work to develop the culture, grow management capability and increase employee engagement.  You will have an unwavering passion to make a positive impact on people’s working lives, and thrive in an environment where plans are ambitious, there is ambiguity and you need to make trade-offs with your workload to keep multiple balls in the air, at the same time. As well as managing projects and initiatives, you will drive and communicate cyclical activities across the division.

What you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent

  • Prior experience in HR Business Partnering in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience implementing and delivering on key People projects or programmes

  • A passion for delivering outstanding people outcomes with a strong employee experience focus;

  • A strong track record in managing and resolving complex organisational and people issues;

  • Outstanding track record in successfully managing Employee Relations issues, and balancing commercial and legal imperatives;

  • Solid understanding of change management principles and experience in delivering cultural change initiatives;

  • Demonstrated relationship building skills and a great coaching style;

  • A good understanding of employee engagement drivers;

  • Confident in interaction with senior stakeholders;

  • A natural curiosity and interest in challenging the status quo and finding new and better ways of delivering value;

  • Tenacity and resilience;

  • Experience with teams across different locations, with ability to influence and help unite teams around a common purpose;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • Prior experience in Technology or Professional Services is well regarded.
