Network Duty Manager
In your new role as a Network Duty Manager you will be responsible for achieving performance across a range of technologies, including Fibre, FTTx, Fixed Wireless and Satellite, as well as across core nbn networks too. This role works in a 24/7 environment, as you are a point of escalation to ensure service restoration targets are met across all technologies.
As this is a leadership position you will be a coach to others, developing Network Jeopardy Leads and leading dozens of engineers across multiple NOCs to meet SLA’s. You will also support in the recruitment and development of new staff. You will take a leading role in Business Continuity activities, and be responsible for developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Please note, this is a 24 month fixed term opportunity.

The largest part of your role will focus on Operational Management across all NOCs and supported technologies.
You will work on:
- Leading direct reports and NOC team members during rostered shifts
- Escalation management
- Stakeholder management
- Customer experience
A bit about you
To be successful in this role you will come from a strong background in similar positions. Significant experience within enterprise telecommunications, in a NOC 24/7 environment. We will be looking for experience in Assurance of networks and Customer Service objectives within a shift based environment. If you have experience with the implementation of automated workflows that would be extremely beneficial.
You will heave leadership experience and be able to show an aptitude for motivating large teams around a central mission, purpose and strategy. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills. You should also be comfortable with change – nbn is a fast moving organization with a lot of change and new challenges every day. We think it’s great, but understand it’s not for everyone.
Security Clearance - The preferred applicant will be required to undergo the security clearance vetting process and meet the requirements for a specified clearance level. The preferred applicant MUST be willing to disclose all information required for this process.
