Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 7/7 roster, with residential or DIDO options available.

We are currently inviting applicants to join the Mine Maintenance team, in the role of Technician Maintenance Auto Electrical. This role provides support to the team, by adhering to operating requirements and ensuring individual, team and site objectives are met, while maintaining an enthusiastic and safety focused approach.

In this role you will:

  • Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day

  • Provide auto electrical trade skills to perform unplanned and/or breakdown maintenance

  • Assist with planned maintenance work where applicable

  • Provide feedback to the maintenance supervisor on job/task progress

  • Develop a close working relationship with Mine personnel to ensure that all plant downtime issues are escalated correctly and rectified immediately

  • Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's way

  • Trade qualifications in Auto Electrical (essential)

  • Previous experience with a range of mobile mining fleet and equipment

  • Competent in electronic fault finding, component change out, servicing and maintaining mobile mining plant

  • Ability to understand and interpret OEM manuals and electronic schematics

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously when required

  • A team player with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels
