Do you want to work with a diverse team, in a dynamic, high paced & fun environment which delivers a high quality control service to our remote operations enabling record breaking performance?  As a remote operations controller you will be controlling a Coal Handling Preparation Plant/Coal Port in either central Queensland or New South Wales from the heart of Brisbane CBD. As a part of the fixed plant team you will constantly interact to our onsite operations teams and to other controllers to provide stable control to our operations. You will work in a dynamic environment which is always striving to continuously improve performance; as such you will be involved in contributing ideas that help us meet our targets and improve our processes. Experience in control is not a requirement; however prior experience in a production facility or industrial environment is highly regarded. In this role you will:
  • Manage & optimise plant processes whilst maintaining an overriding commitment to safety & health
  • Be responsible for day to day control of our fixed plant/port asset operations
  • Demonstrate and create effective & positive relationships with site & within your team
  • With a focus on continuous improvement, you will be fostering a culture of best practices amongst your team & the business
  • Brisbane CBD based role working in a world class control centre, 365 days per year on a rotating day & night 12.5 hour shift roster. This roster consists of alternating straight day and night shifts on the lifestyle roster
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure using your skills in prioritisation & problem solving
  • Highly developed communication skills with ability to resolve conflicts
  • Highly motivated with the ability to utilise your negotiation skills in order to influence others & achieve desired outcomes
