Our Opportunity

OneSKY is a game-changer for Australia’s airspace. The project will unify Australian skies under a new, harmonised air traffic management system. This will enable a new level of safety and efficiency, while also reducing delays for the travelling public and providing opportunities to improve environmental outcomes. It will be the catalyst for better connectivity to underpin Australia’s sustainable growth into the future. OneSKY will transform Australia’ sky and we are proud to be partners in its delivery. As such, we are looking to engage a Human Machine Interface (HMI) Software Leadto be in charge of the HMI Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCI) of the Air Traffic Management core system.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the CSCI iteration deliveries in relation to the functional Increment planning
  • Lead the HMI CSCI data-package (all artefacts produced during the lifecycle of the project) in particular the HMI code quality and the CSCI test quality
  • Synchronise the HMI development in accordance with the scope and schedule of the HMI Software iterations
  • Assess the maturity of the HMI development artefacts including compliance with HMI global architecture and functional blocks scope, code quality review , code qualimetry, tests quality and coverage
  • Conduct the HMI CSCI reviews
  • Coach the Functional Development team in terms of training and technical guidance.

About You

  • Degree qualification in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Significant experience in Java and/or Java FX Software development in a project delivery
  • Understanding of configuration management tools and continuous build environment (Git, Stash/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira)
  • Experience in working with large scale and safety critical distributed systems
  • Experience in development and/or deployment of tooling and processes supporting software development
  • Air Traffic Management domain knowledge, specifically flight data processing, surveillance and human machine interface would be highly regarded but not mandatory
