Come and be a part of this success.Reporting to the Mine Geology Superintendent, we are currently seeking experienced Mine Geologists to join our Mine Geology teams at Blackwater, Poitrel, Caval Ridge and South Walker on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster.

This role will focus on ensuring accurate geological information within the 0 – 90 day window is delivered to the team’s stakeholders in order to maximise coal production.

These are 12 month fixed term roles with the possibility to go permanent.

In this role you will:

  • Provide geological

support to the site operational teams.

  • Update and provide

accurate coal surfaces to Drill and Blast engineers

  • Perform pit structural

mapping and pit inspections for coal signoff.

  • Undertake geological

data collection, interpretation, validation and reconciliations.

  • Participate and

deliver geological mining review documentation at Day 120 and Day 7 of the

SRF

  • Identify and implement

workable solutions in regards to geological and or structural issues.

  • Seek to minimise coal

loss and dilution.

  • Continuously improve

procedures and processes.

  • Collaborate with the

broader Coal Geoscience Function.

You will have a tertiary education in Geoscience, with significant experience with open pit mining. Your knowledge of mining, structural geology and grade control processes will ensure your success, as will your exposure to geological modelling software.

Experience with Vulcan modeling software if advantageous. You will be diligent, self-motivated, have a curious mind, innovative and an excellent team player with positive relationship building skills, coupled with a high level of attention to detail.
