About the role
Laing O'Rourke is recruiting for an experienced Environmental Advisor for a major Infrastructure project based in Sydney.
The successful candidate will play a key coaching role to Supervisors and Managers on site, drive environmental performance and promote sustainability initiatives, whilst ensuring compliance with Laing O'Rourke's processes and procedures.
Your key responsibilities will include:
You will be responsible for promoting compliance and excellence in project environmental matters, delivery of environmental programmes and initiatives on the project, provide advice to supervisors, inspectors, project management team, employees and other personnel on the project. You will also review completed environmental records to ensure they verify compliance with specified requirements, ensure waste is minimised on site, monitoring of ground and drinking water and onsite testing.
You will have
As the suitable candidate for this role, you will hold a tertiary qualification in environmental engineering/science (or similar) along with experience working in Environmental Advisor roles across infrastructure projects in Australia. You will possess detailed knowledge of environmental and construction legislation and industry practices and experience in leading investigations.
