**Join our new South Flank Project****The South Flank Project is an expansion of BHP's existing Mining Area C hub, located approximately 130 km by road north-west of the town of Newman. This project has potential to become one of the largest standalone iron ore processing centers in the world, within reach of several billion tonnes of high-grade ore.

This supervisor position plays a key role in ensuring South Flanks’ daily and weekly production targets are met and the statutory and company audit schedules are maintained. This role will also have a heavy emphasis on ensuring all working standards are compliant and take a proactive stance on continuous improvement initiatives.

Supervise a team of drill & blast personal while effectively run prestart meetings, allocate daily tasks, work closely with various stakeholders in the business, demonstrate a safety orientation mindset, and assist in identifying and implementing initiatives that contribute to current and potential value to the business.As the Supervisor, you will have a proven track record in leading a Drilling & Blast team on a large-scale open cut mining operation. By utilising your excellent relationship building and influencing skills alongside your strong technical expertise across blasting and drilling activities, you will be able to coach and mentor your team to support a strong safety culture whilst achieving high performance. Your scheduling capabilities, knowledge of the Mine Safety & Inspection Act & Regulations in conjunction with your impressive safety record will enable you to success in this job. For this particular role, it is essential to hold a valid Dangerous Goods Security Card. A WA Shot Firer's license is highly recommended, as is previous experience with electronic detonation systems.
