The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Program Services to join the Program Controls team within Roads & Maritime Services (RMS). The Director Program Services is responsible for leading and coordinating the program services function within the Program Control Office.

The Director, Program Services is responsible for:
  • Enabling a connected motorway network, easing congestion and connecting communities’ to attract the external market.
  • Overseeing the implementation of project lifecycle management systems and processes for the program of projects to ensure best practices approaches
  • Ensuring efficient and effective monitoring and management of the program controls and compliance activities.
  • Leading and coordinating the program assurance function for Program Services including the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Infrastructure NSW (INSW) and Transport for NSW (TfNSW) requirements.

Essential requirements

Ideal person will be a project management professional with a background working on major infrastructure projects, across multidisciplinary teams, with expert knowledge of project controls, reporting, schedule, governance and risk. It is essential that you are able to demonstrate the ability to operate within a complex matrix management structure where support services are embedded within the project service delivery teams.


The successful candidate will be a highly skilled motivational leader, possessing outstanding communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement abilities, who enjoy solving complex problems and optimising business outcomes. This skill set will be backed by tertiary qualifications in project management or a relevant discipline.
