Job Overview/PurposeThe Data Warehouse Developer is responsible for creating solutions for the local RANZG Oracle data warehouse and undertaking the timely / robust development of these solutions.
The local data warehouse and business intelligence solutions service over 600 active users throughout Rabobank Australia and New Zealand for Management, Regulatory, Risk and Operational reporting. The data warehouse design caters for many source system inputs from: lending systems, customer management systems, treasury and leasing systems, General Ledger systems, as well as feeding extracts and reports to a variety of users, platforms and client systems. These integrating systems are constantly changing, as are the requirements of MIS users.
This role requires strong ETL skills, excellent database design, as well as the timely project driven development and ongoing support / maintenance of the data warehouse to facilitate the business-users requirements for MIS reporting.
The role holder within the Data Services team will ensure that systems make the best use of the features inherent in the technology, ensuring the future extensibility of the platform. The role holder will work closely with business stakeholders and the Business Intelligence team to ensure that systems meet customer servicing strategy and requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities■ Provide robust Data Warehouse architectural and development solutions for all areas of the Bank, including a facilitation of the bank’s data product synergies, ensuring consistent and efficient technical delivery of information.
■ Ensure all aspects of the system lifecycle (i.e. analysis, testing, documentation, support) are properly managed in accordance with Rabobank standards / policies, and that all approved tasks are completed on time.
■ Ensure that the business needs are met, and hence be involved in analysis, user requirements, fixes / enhancements to existing ETL processes and reporting, as well as any new changes and reporting requirements.
■ Development of technical design/configuration solutions against approved Business Requirements.
• Be involved with overnight / after-hours support, where needed.
■ Maintenance of technical documentation to support application design and changes
■ The following hands-on involvement will also be required:
• Ensure the day to day running of supported and related systems.
• Oversee preparation of documentation to assist end users and other Information Technology (IT) staff.
• Assist business with requirements analysis / process reengineering with the aim of delivering consistent and efficient business solutions and processes.
• Changes to be thoroughly tested, reviewed and signed-off before Production.
• Compliance with Rabobank Change Control, Internal Audit and Quality Assurance standards.
• Complete assigned tasks and related documentation.
• Perform other duties as directed.
