Our Data Assurance team work with clients to deliver crucial insight through data analytics and data visualisation. We also use data to transform external and internal audit approaches by embedding data analytics through the entire audit lifecycle. We also help our clients to establish the right controls, processes and structures to ensure that decisions are based on accurate information.

As the Senior Manager you will help to drive our Finance Operations Advisory service offering. Our objective in FOA is to work with CFO’s to enhance and optimise their finance teams. The role will help to embed data analytics and automation into the processes of finance teams. This will also include providing assistance to client's as they build their own data analytics capability, develop governance frameworks and structures, blend and enrich their data and provide insightful visualisations on top that empower data driven decision making.

About you

Your deep experience in working with Finance teams, or in Financial Planning and Analysis roles, has helped you to see the power of using data analytics to transform the way finance teams work. This role will give you the opportunity to develop your skills towards becoming a true finance data scientist. Data Science has been described as the ideal profession for the 21st century, and the Data Scientist possesses skills in Business, Programming, Applied Mathematics, and Communication.
With your demonstrated strengths in business understanding and communication as a base, you will have the opportunity at PwC to receive training and exposure in the other disciplines of Data Science, so that you can broaden your skills and position yourself for a highly rewarding career.

  • Act with integrity and show care for the people you work with
  • Are a confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Possess strong experience in data visualisation with Tableau (or QlikSense or PowerBI)
  • Demonstrate experience using, or possess a strong desire to learn, and become proficient in Alteryx
  • Have extensive experience in developing finance/management reporting and budget processes
  • Demonstrate a strong business and commercial acumen
  • A numerate degree-level qualification and post qualification (CA,MBA,CPA, CIMA) is essential
