The opportunity 
We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Officer to be a part of our Compliance and Regulatory Services Division within Roads and Maritime Services. This position plays a key role in monitoring and compliance of the Written-off Vehicle Register including processing written off vehicle notifications, dealing with modifications and reversals, responding to telephone enquiries and investigating and resolving issues.

Reporting to the Team Leader Vehicle Identification, you will be responsible for monitoring Management Information System reports to detect breaches of legislation and make appropriate submissions for action to ensure that insurers, dealers and auto-dismantlers provide WOVR notifications in accordance with prescribed legislated delivery times. Another important aspect of the role is to liaise with external stakeholders such as insurance companies, auctioneers and auto-dismantlers to ensure that they comply with WOV legislation requirements and understand their legislative responsibilities. 

To be successful in this role you will have; 
• Demonstrated ability to investigate and solve complex issues working in a high volume and fast paced environment. 
• Demonstrated experience in the use and maintenance of information management systems and database software, including experience in entering high volume data with a high degree of accuracy within tight timeframes.
