With experience developing and executing digital network transformation strategy, you need to be comfortable calling out issues and influencing senior stakeholders to make business/architectural decisions that shape overall strategic direction. This is new ground; you will need a disrupter mindset and be incredibly comfortable with ambiguity. Your curiosity should be coupled with critical thinking and a strong understanding of how software is optimised and orchestrated on hardware using Agile / DevOps delivery methods. As part of our APAC Network Consulting Practice, your responsibilities may include:

  • Lead/manage/involved in APAC Networking Consulting projects/engagements

  • Partner with clients to innovate and transform their businesses around how they plan, build, launch, operate network services and infrastructure to streamline operations, minimize time to market, and reduce costs

  • Drive process or technology assessments and recommendations, conduct operating model analysis and provide recommendations to help carriers more efficiently design, install and deploy network infrastructure to support services creating a future mode of operation

  • Design network strategy that combines Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) capabilities, telco cloud platform and data centres, plus global/local networks in one integrated and intelligent platform that provides a network-as-a-service with global reach

  • Project Lead /Architect for NFV infrastructure (NVFi) and be responsible for NFVi architectural standards, operational standards, plus policies and processes

  • Drive alignment of existing NFVi initiatives and develop a standard NFV blueprint and architecture spanning hardware, virtualisation environment, networking, orchestration, tools and methodologies

  • Elements of pre-sales, network consulting, network solution architecture and project management

Professional experience & qualifications

For Consultant level, 4+ years experience and for Manager to Senior Manager, 8+ years in Technology Consulting and/or corporate/industry environment with specific exposure to some of the following areas:

  • Consulting and delivery of Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualisation (NFV), SOA and Telco Cloud solutions for clients

  • Understanding of Networking (e.g., TCP/IP, IP+Optical, IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), IPTV, 3/4G, LTE, WiFi, SIP, Small Cells, Unified Communications, VoIP, Routing / Switches, etc.)

  • Exposure to digital network transformation project/programs of work

  • Insight to emerging networking industry trends and their impact to clients

  • Project management and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and client relationships

  • Proven track record in working creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment with effective consulting skills

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree is essential
