ABOUT THE ROLE:
Werribee Mercy Hospital is seeking experienced Midwives to join our team as Associate Nurse Unit Managers in Postnatal.
• Grade 3A, option for Full Time or Part Time, 6 month fixed term contract
• Lead and support a diverse, motivated team in a fast growing and progressive environment
• Utilise your advanced clinical and management skills to provide effective leadership and support the strategic direction within Maternity Services
• Join a team that provides holistic care in a modern, well equipped environment
• Position does include rotation onto night duty

ABOUT YOU:
• Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience and demonstrated expertise in antenatal and postnatal care
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to build good working relationships thereby fostering a collaborative approach to care
• Ability to prioritize, adapt and offer mentoring and supervision to midwifery students and graduates
• Able to manage the day to day operation of the ward in the absence of the Unit Manager
• Knowledge of OH&S responsibilities
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
