It is a business that supports the Lendlease urban regeneration, apartments, communities, retirement living and retail development portfolios; implementing an asset origination and operating model to develop and deliver precinct-scaled infrastructure such as chilled water, recycled water, electricity networks and fiber and renewable energy.

In this initial 9 month contract, you will be able to draw on your commercial and business acumen to provide advice and proactive solutions to mitigate commercial risks and manage several commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant Commercial Manager is to accountable for:

(Contract Administration) Providing commercial support to ensure Living Utilities’ interests are protected (and documented) in its dealings with customers and sub-contractors

(Transaction Support) Supporting the finalisation of certain transactions – related to the preparation and execution of contracts and the establishment of contract and compliance management plans (which may involve some amount of ‘change management’)

(Delivery Management) Ensuring support from external legal firms and some specialist consultancies is initiated and delivered in a timely manner and meets Living Utilities’ needs

(Project Management) Providing primary commercial support to certain M&A or procurement projects under guidance from the Senior Commercial Manager

Ideally you will have had experience in contract administration/management and project management. You will have a tertiary qualification in Business or Law and have had positions where you have been a key player in assisting management and operational teams.

Experience in the utilities industry or infrastructure-focussed organisations, preferably in Australia, would be desirable but not essential. As this position will be required to liaise with multiple key stakeholders and prepare documentation, you will be a strong written communicator who has very high attention to detail.
