Job Overview/Purpose:This role is to provide effective support to the Senior Manager, Vendor Management (VM) to ensure the Vendor Management (VM) framework is implemented for Rabobank Australia & New Zealand Group (RANZG).
This covers the following divisions in both Australia and New Zealand.
• Wholesale Banking
• Country Banking
• RaboDirect (IDB)
• Support lines (CEO Line, CFO Office, Risk Management, and COO Domain).
The role will have two key focus areas:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Vendor Management, the role provides crucial business analysis to support the growth, stability, compliance (including Regulatory compliance) and sustainability of the Vendor Management business in Australia and New Zealand.
The position will require at all times, ownership of initiatives/ projects across Vendor Management to facilitate both commercial and compliance whilst putting forward recommendations and at times execution with a stakeholder and results orientated focus.
b.Governance & Compliance
The role requires vigilant monitoring of the Vendor Management process to ensure compliance with Prudential Standard 231 - Outsourcing and the vendor Management policy of the bank. Specifically, Vendor Management will require robust governance and compliance in relation to contracts that are deemed Material Business Activities (MBA’s), and Material Supplier Arrangements.
Furthermore, the role requires vigilant monitoring, facilitation and coordination of internal agreements with Rabobank Head Office & other regions to ensure compliance with Prudential Standard 510 – Governance.
The role requires close working relationships with Supplier Relationship Managers (SRMs), Operational Risk, Compliance, Legal and other teams to support and facilitate compliance with relevant APRA / RBNZ / ECB / DNB regulatory standards and internal policies and continually develop and improve the VM framework.
In addition, the role (in conjunction with the SRM) will monitor these commercial arrangements to continually assess the supplier’s suitability in delivering agreed services and supporting the ongoing strategic objectives of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Provide regular reporting and analysis on Top 100 Vendor and Corporate Card spends;
Review financial statements of vendors;
Manage the Vendor Management SharePoint site and dashboard;
Assist with Business Partner (BP) Risk Assessment and managing the BP register;
Consolidation (where possible) of vendors and merchant base in cooperation with Business Unit leaders and SRM’s. This will include identifying Strategic Partners and establish a Preferred Supplier List;
Acting as Consultant/Advisor on new/renewed contracts to ensure the VM framework is complied with and coordinate ay due diligence activity required;
Support to maintain, and periodically review the RANZG VM Framework to ensure it’s consistent with Rabobank Head Office;
Review internal offshoring arrangements and SLA /IOA renewal when required;
Ensuring compliance with all relevant local and global regulatory and operational requirements relating to VM.
Ensuring staff awareness and education of VM framework and relevant policies throughout RANZG.
Assisting in the completion of relevant/required reports to Boards, Committees, Group, Management and Business Units, regulator as required;
Assisting SRM’s with but not limited to:
o Vendor due diligence
o Business Plans & Risk Assessments
o Relationships with Vendors
o Service Level Agreement Monitoring & Escalation; and
Integrating VM strategy into COO Domain Strategy and ultimately the Organisational Strategy.

Bachelor's Degree (or International Equivalent) or above.
Preference for Financial, Business, Economics or other related Undergraduate degree.
Accounting / Law related degree.
Post Graduate qualification.
