Job Description


As part of our Technology Advisory group within Technology Consulting, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a rapidly growing and dynamic global Technology Advisory team for our Resources clients. Targeting the CIO, CTO, CSO and CDO agendas, you will work with our clients to plan, build, transform and orchestrate their technology capabilities, resources, skills and capacity to deliver improved operational efficiency, enhanced enterprise effectiveness and meet their individual and specific business situation, needs and goals. You will also work to continuously develop Accenture's Technology Advisory market offerings and thought leadership, to help Resources CIOs, CTOs and CDOs shape and articulate their industry and business agendas.


Accenture will be recruiting at the following levels: Consultant & Manager


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support business development and demand generation activities for Technology Advisory services for our Resources clients across Asia Pacific, working in close collaboration with Industry Leads.
  • Participate in the delivery of Technology Advisory and Systems Integration projects, providing supervision to more junior members of the team and enforcing best practise and quality standards.
  • Assume client-facing roles that:


    • Identify and assess technology disruption that will impact our clients, across IT, OT and digital.
    • Interpret and translate client requirements and context into a workable and innovative strategies and solutions that deliver business benefits.
    • Bring technology insights and experience to shape the optimum solution for specific client needs.
    • Deelop and present management and executive level strategies, enterprise architectures, solutions, reports and points of view associated with Technology Advisory opportunities and projects.
  • Contribute to innovative ideas and thought leadership; identify market gaps to help drive offering development.
  • Responsible for building intellectual capital and supporting asset development for Technology Advisory to differentiate Accenture Technology Advisory offerings to clients.

Key Skills:

  • The ability to develop technology strategies, solutions and value adding propositions and take these to market.
  • Experience of managing, strengthening and broadening key client relationships.
  • 3-5 years experience (consultant) / 5-8 years experience (manager) in the Resources industry sector (e.g. Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Natural Resources, Utilities).
  • Strong knowledge of technology trends across IT, OT and digital and how they can be applied to Resources companies to address real world problems and opportunities.
  • Knowledge and experience of asset management, work management, supply chain, real time / operational technology, GIS, and/or mobility processes and solutions, and associated trends is mandatory. Knowledge and experience of finance, HR, and / or customer care and billing solutions is also beneficial.
  • Experience in development and presentation of strategies, enterprise architectures and solutions, technology impact assessment reports and points of view, linked to business objectives.
  • Client management skills and experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills - ability to convey technology and business value propositions to senior stakeholders
  • Team oriented and collaborative working style, both with clients and those within the organization.
  • Capacity to develop high impact thought leadership that articulates a forward thinking view of the market.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop younger talent and build a high performing team.


- Basic qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry experience, specifically Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Natural Resources and / or Utilities sectors

  • Educated to Bachelor's Degree level at a minimum; Solutioning degree preferred (e.g. IT, Engineering, Digital and Technology Solutions)

  • Prior Consulting experience an advantage
