Who we are
It all started when Frederik and Gerald Philips opened a small factory in Eindhoven more than 126 years ago to manufacture light bulbs. Since then we’ve transformed into a leading, global health technology company, valued at USD11.5 billion (Interbrand 2017), with about 74,000 employees, and an ambition to improve the lives of 3 billion people, every year, by 2025.
In the face of growing and aging populations, the rise of chronic diseases, and global resource constraints, health systems globally are under enormous strain. Digital technology is transforming the healthcare industry, increasingly shifting value towards software and services. It also has the potential to enable more people to actively take ownership of their health and wellbeing.
For Philips, with leadership positions in both personal health and professional healthcare, we see that innovation can transform the delivery of care across the health continuum, enabling new relationships between care providers and patients/consumers, and driving better patient outcomes, higher productivity and a better user experience for all concerned.
At Philips, we believe that there’s always a way to make life better.
Unexpected and fulfilling
Philips is at the forefront of innovation and digital disruption, so you will always be challenged. No matter your role within the company, you will be learning constantly with on-the-job training, learning program and peer coaching.

"I'm proud to be part of a team which is committed to drive representation of women across the organization"Anisha Shrestha, Talent Acquisition Specialist
"It was a wonderful opportunity to come back from maternity leave after my first child on a part time basis. Philips Australia gave me the support and flexibility I needed to fully engage with a very challenging role and yet also enjoy the infant years of my daughter’s life. I didn’t feel like I had to pick between them or regret my decision. Having flexibility to manage family and work continues to be attractive for many and the recognition of this at Philips, and by its management, is a key attribute that helps retain talent.”Sashi Fernando, Legal Counsel
"I have four children and the flexibility provided by Philips helps me meet work and family commitments."Russell Copeland, Service and Operations Manager
